Studio HCC: 20 years of project thinking

Established in 2005 by architect Umberto Carlos Calloni, the firm works on a wide range of projects: from city planning to hotels, from building renovation to furniture and light design.

Studio HCC manages every aspect of design, from the masterplan to the very small detail. Maniacs of consistency and quality, Studio HCC works with a consolidated network of top class suppliers that can produce by design any element of furniture or decoration. The flawless delivery is also guaranteed by a careful in-house general procurement of products and materials.

Clients: the engine of our research

Big systems and small scale projects are faced with a simple method: we carefully listen to our client, make sure we have understood what he has said and what he has in mind, and start our job of translating his requests into the best design possible.

A fully satisfactory result is an exchange: to respect the client’s desiderata, or tastes, we create something new, leading back his idea to an harmonious ensemble.

Hotels: a key business line

Hotel design has become a signature practice. We have raised to the challenges of big hotel groups - Amapa, Accor, IHG, Marriott among others - and of their diverse brand standards. Hospitality projects have included design from scratch and building, restoration and renovation of historic buildings, refurbishing of existing hotels, standards definition of emerging brands.

Italy has seen the most of Studio HCC activity, with a number of projects abroad: Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Geneva, Lanzarote, London, Lugano, Miami, Montevideo, Paris, Santiago de Chile, Tripoli.

Umberto Carlos Calloni: before HCC

Umberto especially treasures his collaborations with artist Salvatore Fiume and architect Luigi Caccia Dominoni, from whom he learnt how to open the mind to new ideas in order to create a better place to live in.

Right before founding Studio HCC he was working as technical manager and project manager at Norman Project, a branch of the Norman Group.
