The Petriolo Inn is located in an uncontaminated paradise, it is an ancient inn, just outside the walls of Petriolo, which Pope Pius II had fenced. The rooms have been designed as modern think tanks, where the very deep window frames become a place where the customer can stop and look at the surrounding landscape. The project wanted to privilege the historicity of the place and is deliberately minimalist and essential. The lighting system is designed as a revisitation of traditional elements, such as straw, leather and iron.
